The whole point to playing a game is to beat it, right? So after you have beat the game, then what? The only way you can just return a game from where you got it after you have beaten it, is if you rented the game in the first place. Renting video games is commonplace today for a number of reasons. Renting a game is often the first step in deciding if a game is worth purchasing. More and more though, there is no need to purchase games because game rental periods from online renters have become indefinite. Basically a game rented online can be kept as long as it takes, and then returned with no late fees.
